Can a company pay for an EV charger at home?

Yes, there are three different ways a company could make this happen for their employee:

– They can directly pay for the installation and maintenance of the EV charger.
– The company could reimburse employees once they’ve paid for any installation and maintenance work.
– They can provide employees with vouchers that can be used to pay for the purchase, installation, or maintenance costs of an EV charger.

Can employers charge for EV charging?

There’s no UK law that states that employees are entitled to charge their electric vehicles for free at work, but there are some restrictions on how much they can charge. According to the Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS), employers cannot charge employees more than the cost of the electricity used to charge their vehicles. This includes the cost of the electricity, any standing charges, and any network charges.
