How insulation under the floor is installed

Here’s how Grant Store’s underfloor insulation is installed:

  • We’ll remove your carpets and laminate flooring (and your floorboards, if necessary)
  • A vapour barrier made of plastic sheeting is installed to prevent moisture from condensing on the underside of the insulation
  • The insulation is then installed between the floor joists
  • A secondary vapour barrier is added
  • Your floorboards/carpet/laminate flooring are replaced again
